Cards with Floral Embellished Cricut Cartridge

A while back I was asked to create some spring cards using the Floral Embellished Cricut Cartridge for the Cricut Circle e-magazine
I loved how these simple cuts when layered create beautifully detailed flowers. It's it amazing when paper comes together like this. I then combined my flowers with some yummy Echo Park papers.

The black bling was added to the card below by using the Imaginisce i-rock tool.  Here's how they styled my cards for the Cricut Circle e-magazine.
What did you create today?

Boo Pumpkin Home Decor

I'm trying to get in the mood to do some Halloween projects, unlike my daughter it's not my favorite holiday. So I was browsing through my idea folder and past projects and came across one I did this time last year. Oh it's cute, I thought and worthy of sharing...don't you think?

This is one of those foam pumpkins you can pick up for $4-5 at Walmart. And with only my Imaginisce i-rock tool and a lot of black rhinestones I started adding bling to my rather boring pumpkin.

I think it turned out BOO-TIFUL!!

Late Night Breakdown Remembering 9/11

It's 1:21am on September 10th and I had no plans to write about 9/11, blog about it or even watch any television talking about 9/11. It still makes me sad (I'm a crier). But wouldn't you know it. I saw this photo on my friend's profile picture on Facebook and I thought I could at least do that....
I could at least change my profile picture to show that I too had not forgot.

But the next thing I know I'm sobbing as I look through hundreds of photos on Google from that day not so long ago. A mad rush of feelings just hit me...everything I felt that day, the days following and now 10 years later. Wow.
And yes, I write this more for me then for you to read, forgive me.
When I was younger, I remember my mom saying she knew where she was the day John F. Kennedy was shot. I use to think that was so strange that she could remember the details on a day marked by tragedy. But now I understand.
I still remember and will never forget what I was doing on September 11, 2001. I was …

Yummy Recipes Inspired by Pinterest

Okay I have to say that my favorite subject on Pinterest is FOOD. The photos people take inspire me to want to try them out. So thanks to the wonderful bookmarking capability of Pinterest, it makes searching out that next yummy dinner super easy. Here are some PINS I have on Pinterest that I've actually tried out at home. And I have so many more too...
I've linked to the original site that the pins were pulled from so you can give them a try too!!  Honey Glaze Bacon Wrapped Chicken
I made these last night with turkey tenderloins instead of chicken. We also didn't have any course mustard, so I turned the glaze more into a honey lemon instead. My family loved them.
Crescent Roll Bacon Jalapeno Poppers
I also tried these yesterday for fun. My boys really liked them, but by 16 year old suggested just doing cream cheese by itself next time, too funny. But who doesn't like things wrapped in crescent rolls?
Baked Parmesan Tomatoes
We gave these a try and other then we used too much…
