You will be amazed at how simple and fun it can be to create necklaces, bracelets, earrings and key chains with soda pop cans. Join me and my daughter Emma as we share a bunch of fun ideas on today's episode.

Includes notes and tips on what worked and didn't work for me.
Most of the tutorials I found used a pattern and scissors to create the shapes, but I found that PUNCHES worked much, much faster and easier. So pull out your punches and see what you can create!! Oh and I really loved coating the punched out pieces with Ranger's Glossy Accents. It gave the pieces a bit more weight and kept them on the jump rings (definitely a must have for this project).
Be sure to visit my Pinterest TEEN SCENE Board for my ideas with soda pop cans! And a big shout out to my super, awesome daughter Emma. We had a lot of fun doing this episode and I think she rocks!! I'm not sure I can talk her into doing it again, but what a great memory we have together!!
Me trying to catch the punched soda can before it flies off set.
These are super fun ideas!!!
Loved this episode! I've always wanted to try crafting with cans but thought it would be hard. You made it look so easy. Cute samples!
Super Cute Lori! You and Emma make a great team. But when did she GROW up? It seems like yesterday she and Megan were creating the Nifty Garage Band. HA! Love it. Keep up the good work.
How do you keep from being cut from the can ??
Karla - Once I cut the can down I found the aluminum didn't cut as easily as you would think...if the edge is a clean cut. Jagged cuts are another story...just take a piece of sandpaper and sand off those pokey parts. The can itself is soft enough to punch through too. My daughter wore gardening gloves, but found those just got in the way and gave them up.
