Time Out for Women...don't we all need one?

(Click image to view dates & locations)
Have I told you about Time Out for Women? Well it one of the things I look forward to each and every year and I am bursting at the seams to share the details about the 2013 theme and schedule. Maybe if you need a time out, you can join me too!!

What is Time Out for Women (TOFW)? What started out as one event September 2002 in Phoenix, Arizona has turned into a program that has reached tens of thousands of women all over the world. Whether it's a TIME OUT FOR WOMEN event, TIME OUT FOR GIRLS EVENT or the TOFW.com website and newsletter, TOFW has become one more opportunity for faithful women to reconnect and recharge. This faith based event is what recharges me and helps me set my year off right. I'll be attending the Layton, Utah event on February 1-2, 2013

First off, the registration opens this Tuesday, Nov. 20th. And even better, you can register for the "early bird group rate" of $52 until Dec. 4th. Why not consider giving yourself the gift of a "time out" and attend?

Now for those of you that have attended TOFW, let's talk about the amazing theme for next year. The following is a great explanation from the Chrislyn Woolston, Director of TOFW and I couldn't say it any better...

... just like us, you find strength in music, humor, service, and thoughtful gospel insights that elevate your spirit and recharge your soul and send you back into the world a better woman. And that’s when the 2013 theme “HIGHER” came to us. When the Lord says in Isaiah 55:9, “So are my ways higher than your ways,” He’s not chastising us for not being more. He’s inviting us to move beyond what we have known and to join Him in a higher life.

It’s a plea to the woman who needs to rediscover herself and THINK HIGHER about her life, her role as a woman of God, and her future. It’s an invitation to all of us to BELIEVE HIGHER as we face the challenges that will require all of our faith and all of our hearts. It’s an injunction to those of us choosing every day between good, better, and best to LIVE HIGHER and make God’s ways our own.

And that is what Time Out for Women is, really.

It’s YOU… Higher.

Need a Time Out? Join Me at Time Out for Women

February 4 and 5, 2011 - I will be up at Weber State absorbing all the positive energy I can from Time Out for Women. You may have heard of it, sponsored by Deseret Book and touring around the country. I've talked to several of my friends that have attended and they have nothing but great things to say about their experience.

I was so thrilled to find out from many of my friend that they like to get a group of 4 together to get the group rate and then they RUN away from home...did I mention run. Nice thing is the event is close enough to home, but not nearly as much fun as spending the night in a hotel room with three of my most fun and crazy friends!!

The event is affliated or sponsored by the LDS Church, although many of the speakers are members. Some are not. The focus of the conference is to help WOMEN (that's me) recharge and focus on strengthening my spirit and energy so I can continue to be the best mom, wife and friend I can. So much of my time is spent doing things for others...for my husband, my children, my job, my church calling...and so little time is spent on just ME. So I'm excited to block out a day and half to go and focus on ME at Time Out for Women.
Right now you can join me too for the group rate of only $49 per person. What a fun gift for your moms or sisters that are so hard to shop for and what a fun time you'd all have if you just bought your own tickets. That's what I'm giving myself for Christmas (among many other things I've picked up while shopping...shhhh).

If you get a chance check out their website, blog or sign-up for regular email information. Oh and if you don't live near Ogden, they tour all over the states, so check out their 2011 calendar. Hope to see you there!
