IBP Jewelry with Callie from The Bead Farm

If you like making jewelry, consider yourself a bead "collector" or even appreciate a handmade jewelry piece,  then you will love Callie from The Bead Farm. This local shop happens to be one of my favorite go-to Girls Night Out locations. No need to invest in the tools and beads just to have them sit in a box at home, learn why making a date with a favorite local shop is a lot less expensive and more fun. Be sure to like The Bead Farm on Facebook and check below for other posts about the fun projects I have created over the years with Callie's help.

Here's some blog posts I've done about The Bead Farm...like I said I'm a huge fan!!

Disclaimer: Pinterest is a great place to find inspiration but not all pins lead to blogs. I tried to only pick those ideas that I could find the original creator and give credit to. Please take a moment and check out these great blogs because without them I wouldn't have content to talk about on the new My Craft Channel show Inspired by Pinterest.

The Bead Farm Giveaway + Knit Sew Create Workshop Weekend

I am so excited about my Giveaway Times Two...keep reading to learn more!!

So you've all seen me blog about one of my favorite "Girls Night Out" destination places, The Bead Farm at Gardner Village. It's the perfect place to hang out. You can do a little shopping, bead for a couple (few) hours and then go to dinner at Archibalds. My only complaint is I wish they stayed open later...although they do throw some amazingly fun midnight madness night outs ocassionally.

Well my last trip to The Bead Farm I was hooked on making Earrings. I love that I can use their tools, they only charge me for my supplies I use and I get to pick beads from an entire store of yummy beads. Oh and let's not forget I have Callie and Colleen available to help me create whatever I challenge them with...it's the prefect night for me and my friends!!

But I have something super fun. Callie asked me to pick a necklace and earring set that she created and sells at the store (yes you do not have to make your own things, they have a wonderful selection hand-made jewelry). She loves that I love her store and has had quite a few of my readers come in to visit her because of reading about the shop on my blog. So she wanted me to pick a set out to GIVEAWAY. And trust me this is a hard one...I so want to keep this one. Here is it, I'm told the beads are called "Miracle Beads"...they look like a bead inside of a bead...they're stunning!!
The lucky winner will receive both the necklace and earrings...thanks Callie and The Bead Farm!!
I thought it only fitting to MODEL the necklace at a recent photo shoot so you can see how amazing it looks on....I figured this was as close as I'd get to owning it (wink)!

But it gets even better too.... have you heard that Gardner Village is hosting the Knit-Sew-Create Workshop Weekend on April 25th, 26th and 27th?

This is an amazing opportunity to create what you love or learn something new!

It's STUNNING in person.

My Craft Stool Obsession

Have you ever obsessed about something? I do this with a few things in my life...

....The perfect cheesecake that only comes out in december (Peppermint Bark Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory).

....Cherry M&Ms of which only come out around Christmas time and when
I see their arrival in stores I buy up bags and bags of them.

....A new craft project that I have been saving for the right moment. Right now it's a shadow box project that I cannot get out of my head. I start buying the materials for these obsessive craft projects and setting them aside until I'm ready to craft away.

...But how about the perfect STOOL

This is a long time obsession of mine that I have had. I was first introduced to a this lovely stool below at a previous place of employment. They brought them in when a new office space was built and it was love at first sight (or sit). I knew at that moment I must own one for my craft room. I inquired about where they were purchased from, but sadly no one knew. So now every time I pass buy a display of stools and chairs in any store I always stop looking for my "stool obsession".
And as luck would have it... I was browsing around some of my favorite shops at one of my all time favorite local shopping destinations, Gardner Village. It was in the "Down to Earth" store that I happened upon my true love....my stool!

I was willing to pay at least $100 for this long time obsession of mine and even better...they were on sale for $39.00. So I bought TWO!!!
I ran home and assembled my stools. It didn't take long and I was SO VERY happy. So to prove how obsessed I can be, I knew I must BLOG about my new stool. And publically express my thanks to Down to Earth at Gardner Village for having the good sense to offer these as an item in their store!!

The Bead Farm - Great Place to "Bead" for Girls Night Out

Ever wonder what to do on a Friday night? Grab a few of our girl friends and head to a darling shopping spot in Salt Lake City called Gardner Village. It's a unique village of boutique style shops that range from Sassy Babies, baby couture style products to ready-made quilts at The Village Quilt Shop or quilting supplies at Pine Needles. Of course it's one of the best locations to find unique and great home decor items in the valley at Down to Earth or Country Furniture.

But what I love best about Gardner Village is a cute little bead shop called "The Bead Farm". We happened upon it one weekend after having dinner at the delicious Archibald's Restaurant there at the village. We learned that the cute owner Callie, offered free beading classes if you schedule "table time" and purchase your supplies at her shop. So we planned another weekend there and it's one of my favorite things to do with my friends.

One of our favorite things to create when we go is to create yummy bead "clusters" that we can swap out on a necklace and I've made a few. Here's some we made this visit:

Check out how cute The Bead Farm shop looks....for someone like me, the colors in all the mason jars makes this a happy place to hang out.

You would think that you'd get into trouble beading in a shop...but in the two hours we're there the supplies to make the clusters typically runs us about $7.00 a cluster or less. Last time we even tried making our own "wire wrapped rings" and boy did those turn out cute!!

My friend Jen and Bead Farm owner, Callie
Remember, The Bead Farm is a "great place to bead" for a Girls Night Out!!
So call Callie at 801-938-1995 to reserve your "table time".
Be sure to let her know you read about her cute shop from my blog!

GIVEAWAY ALERT: Since I planned on blogging about The Bead Farm when we were there last Friday, I quickly made a cute beaded bookmark to giveaway to one of my readers. Just leave a comment and I'll select a winner by Sunday evening. Thanks for stopping by!
