Creating Birthday Cards with my Cricut

I don't know if it was because of my birthday last week or not, but I have been making all sort of Birthday Cards with my Cricut (via my Gypsy). I especially love cards with clever sayings and love the challenge of trying to figure out ways to make those fun sayings come to life. Here's a few of my favorites I made this past week.

Not Over the Hill, Reaching Your Peak
This fun card was created with the Country Life cartridge and some fun Echo Park papers (I would love to stock up on that yummy cloud paper for sure).

You're Not Old, You're Ripe

I combined the new For the Record collection by Echo Park, with some fuzzy paper I've had forever and my Just Because Cards cartridge.

Happy Belated Birthday....from Your Slower Friend
I'm always forgetting birthdays so this sentiment was perfect. My son actually told me about this idea after shopping for a my birthday card and he thought it was so cool that I recreated it from what he told me. This card was created with some fun Bella Blvd & Echo Park papers and my new Four Legged Friends cartridge.

Journey Around the Sun
I couldn't pass up this fun sentiment and with the help of my Simply Charmed cartridge and the bright American Crafts papers to create this fun card.

I love creating birthday cards with my Cricut! And I hope you enjoyed my take on these fun cards. I still have a few more in the works that I hope to post later this week

On Location: Playing at Oh My Crafts

I've decided I'm a lazy photographer when it comes to documenting my adventures. What I mean by that is, I tell my friend Amy to take the pictures with her twin camera she has...seriously why would "both" of us need to take pictures when we can just email them back and forth. However, she gets busy and I start feeling like I'm nagging her for the pictures. So until she has time to download me the pictures from Scrapfest, I thought I'd post pictures from one of our adventures earlier in the month.

We were invited by Oh My Crafts to come check out their gorgeous new warehouse and classroom space in Orem, Utah. Our team was there to teach a preview class for their upcoming Discovering Possibilities event too!

But I had more fun drooling all over their Copic Marker display...seriously a girl can dream right??

Then the very cute Amy Cottle (family owns OMC) shared with me one of their products when she saw us playing with our Gypsy's. Notice the little stylus "wrapped" around my finger? It's called a Typsy and they sell them on their site. Normally they retail for $7.99, but their on sale right now for $1.99. I keep find that mine is missing since my daughter thinks it's for her...but I think I'll be buying a ton of these for my Gypsy toting friends for Christmas...it rocks!!

I'll post Scrapfest pictures hopefully tomorrow!! Enjoy!

Blinging it On! i-rock bling on my Cricut Card Creations

I had so much fun playing with my Gypsy & Cricut this weekend. Oh and my yummy i-rock tool and bling from Imaginisce. Here's a couple of elegant cards, but you need to click on them to see the gorgeous detail on them.

The wreath and border were cut from the Cricut Holiday Cakes Cartridge. I couldn't pass blinging them up with my i-rock tool. I also used one of the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders (polka dots) to create the dotted pattern on the black core'dinations cardstock and then sanded off the tops of the dots and edges of the paper to reveal the white core of the paper.

I believe the straight pin with the crystal at the end is from Maya Road and the ribbon from Creative Impressions (but I've had this for a while and it's not marked).

A lot of you have asked me more about the i-rock heat set gem setting tool from Imaginisce and I thought a short video from my friend Erin Bassett would explain it better.

Wait until I show you more of my vinyl ideas using  my Gypsy & Cricut! But tomorrow I'll be featuring some fun things all inspired by Twilight/Eclipse OF COURSE!!
