Apple Cider Cards Featured at Imaginisce & Cricut Giveaway

Fin-tastic Cards by Nichol Magouirk

Oh how I wish I had the time to learn how to use Copic markers because I already own these fun Snag'em Stamps from Imaginisce. The amazing Nichol Magouirk created these lovely cards with the Splash Dance Snag'em Stamps and copic markers. Don't you just love the googly eyes? Be sure to follow Nichol's blog for more inspiring ideas. 

Apple Brownies

Another great recipe from Gourmet Mom on the Go. They're yummy apple brownies, which I actually made for a family lunch today and received RAVE reviews on. I cooked mine in an 9x13 pan and not a pie pan, but they taste the same no matter the pan. The apples make the cake part very moist and my daughter gave it two thumbs up. Not sure why they're called "brownies" though...nothing brown about these. Everyone especially liked the sugar sprinkles on top with caramel drizzle!! Try them out, they're very simple to make and one I'll be making again! 

Apple Brownies
Ingredients:
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 C. flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 large or 4 small apples, peeled and diced
granulated sugar (for sprinkling on top after baking)
Caramel Ice Cream topping (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Choose your pan size: either a 9 x 13 pan, two pie pans, or a pie pan and four mini-loaf pans. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and apples. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar.

Flower Earrings

I love these itty bitty flowers earrings by Allora Handmade. She makes the loveliest flowers necklaces and headbands, but these totally caught my eye. I was thinking I'd make me some of these, but knowing my schedule it might be easier to just buy them from her etsy shop! But here's a link on another blog that shows how to make these earrings. 

Butterfly Wall Framed Collage

Don't you just love butterflies? And I love ones made from yummy scrapbook papers too. But what a clever idea to create this beautiful framed piece. You can see more pictures of this on The Idea Door Blog. 

Ruffled Zipper Ballet Flats

I know I've posted about these before, but I found these on Shannon Makes Stuff blog and thought they were cuter and she shows you how she did it step-by-step instructions on how to make these. 

Spray Painted Pillows

Would you believe that these darling pillows were spray painted? The crafty talent behind This Thrify House blog shows you how to create these with canvas fabric, freezer paper and a can of spray paint. Oh the ideas that started flowing through my idea when I saw these are endless...especially when I combine it with the fun designs from Cricut...watch out for a future post on what I create with this inspiring idea! 

Free Twilight T-Shirt Designs

I found this lovely little blog called All Things Thrifty Home Accessories and Decor and after looking through pages of fun projects, I happened upon her many great t-shirt designs she posted on her blog. She even gives them to you in a download that is mirrored so you can print direct to your t-shirt transfer sheets. This is one of her many great designs, but be sure to check out the other designs she created in this post, and this post, this post and this post.  

Sorry I"ve been slow to post these past couple of weeks...so busy with work that I find very little time to focus on my blog, which makes me sad. 

My Confession that I really, really miss GLEE

My Tuesdays are just not the same since Glee ended for the season. I miss the anticipation of wondering what songs (good & bad) they will add their Glee spin to it. Songs like "Dancing with Myself," "Poker Face" and "Don't Stand So Close to Me" were great when sung by the original singers, but I loved them TONS more when I heard them sung on Glee. They never disappoint at all and it's worth watching (in my opinion). Tuesdays were the day I was so excited to sit down and dedicate my uninterrupted time to watching...now nothing is on and that makes my Tuesdays very sad. 

Although I'm not spending that much on iTunes these days...every Tuesday cost me about $6-7 in downloads during the season (and yes, I own all the songs...best commuting music around)!! 

I had to share a cute video that the very handsome Puck (aka Mark Salling) created about working with the cast of Glee. He's singing in his car on the way to work and he's adorable. I'm sure each actor has a website, but I found Mark's when looking for this video.

I want to be chillin' on Glee with Mark too!! 

Here's a fun wallpaper (not shown) to put on your computer so you won't miss Glee too much while we await it's arrival in the new season! But if you miss the show too much, be sure to check out full episodes on Fox or Hulu.com. 

By the way, I tried finding when Season 3 will air, but Fox has not announced the date...some speculate that it will not air until 2011 (sniffle and weeping here). But I was reminded that John Stamos will be joining the cast....very curious about that and can he SING??
